  • CJPC custom rim hangers

Hey all, we just fabed these really cool rim hangers that makes it real easy to hang rims. Now it is a snap to get the rims in and out of the oven. Real strong, the rim has no sway at all and best of all they have handles so you can remove them when they are hot!!!! No burns!! YES!!! Check em' out!!

How does that work? Do you put the rod through the center of the wheel and then attach the valve stem to that bottom hole using a bolt or something? If so, does that mean they are diameter specific?

No Prob fellas. By the pic you should get the idea. I used a 1/4 20 3" bolt and some washers and a few nuts. The hole in the hanger is big enough to accomodate the bolt.

I would like to see how the wheel fits on your hanger. If it looks good, I am sure that the orders will start coming in.

Looking good man, any close up shots of the valve stem area where the wheel is actually hanging? Thanks!

                  Re: CJPC custom rim hangers

I have a question concerning hanging through the vavle stem hole. If yall are using a washer and a nut on the finished side of the wheel, then there is going to be an area not coated. Even if the valve stem covers this, wouldnt it still rust if its a steel wheel?

Well fortunatly all my rims have been aluminum alloy so far.....So I don't have the rust issue, yet. If I get a steel rim...I'll figure something out.

Here is your solution, use a bolt with a counter sunk head

Juan this picture is of the front of the valve stem area....zoomed in. All there is, is the 1/4 bolt with a washer going through to the back of the rim. Then the first pic I posted shows the rest of it. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the close-up man, that's what I had pictured but it helps to actually see it. Good idea, looks like it will work well.

Try to find acorn nuts-round side in the valve stem hole.
I could only find nylon lined lock type acorn nuts, so I burned the nylon out of them with a torch-
I think I am using 7/16" all -thread and acorn nuts. they fit right onto the hole snug, leaving no marks

not trying to hijack, rather build on this great idea. I think I want a set of these--
