  • Damaged forks - sparkle silver/clear

Just finished these damaged forks. I used JB Weld, which was OK, but I think I'll get some EpoStrong for the next project.

Shot them hot (JB isn't conductive) with Tiger Sparkle Silver and SD clear (38).

Overall I was very happy with how it turned out. I'm still just starting, and am trying to get a feel for just how much powder to put on.

That looks wayyyyy to good. You must be showing us the other one that wasn't damaged!

How durable are things like JB for repairs?

Just like in Maaco TV commercials - shoot it undamaged first, then damage it...then show the last one first...

I can't say for sure just how durable JB is, but I always hit the area with a grinder first before adding any filler. Seemed like it was going to be a pretty strong repair to me.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments!

                        Thanks!

I used JB on this one, but I need to look into getting some EpoStrong.

Not sure exactly where to get it (planning on talking to my Tiger rep) or how much it is - I've heard it's kinda pricey.

I've only used JB, which other than not being conductive, works well and doesn't outgas.
