Very nice! When I use that on cast manifolds, it comes out more gloss gray then silver, its weird.

The first set of pipes I did came out gloss gray. I was pumped when they came out this good. they actually look aluminum.

          And thanks.

Harley how long do you tell the customer a set of headers will last powder coated? I have some people ask me that and Im not sure.

Did you apply a heavier coat to get it that shiney the 2nd time?

From what I understand as long as they take proper care of thier ceramics they will last along time.

Yes, I did a tack coat then went back over it and put down a nice color coat. I was worried about the change between my first time and second in the color, but after seeing the color sample pipe Techline had I know now that these headers are the way it should look. I'm not sure why the first ones looked satin gray instead of this. Maybe my coating was breaking down from aging this stuff is ony good for a short time. Or I didn't mix it as good or both. This was a fresh batch sprayed right away.

525f- pmt- 1 hr, then crank it to 640f for 30mins. Probably longer in the oven than needed but less to worry about when the customer gets them.
