Did you blast the frame yourself, or how do you handle removing the old finish before coating?

If there's an old finish I'll strip it. As far as blasting bike frames (a pita in my cabinet) and anything larger gets farmed out to the blaster down the road.
That sounds like the thing to do on these larger items. I don't have a blasting cabinet anywhere close to the size of yours, so I'm struggling with larger items. So far I've found one local guy who sounded like a good guy on the phone... It's good to see others farming out blasting, seems like I'm on the right path.
If you're going to farm out the blasting make sure the dude is willing to put parts on skids if need be and wrap things up. I got lucky with my guy, he's right down the road. He picks up and delivers parts if need be and the stuff is always wrapped up. As a plus he owns a large machine shop so he knows what can happen and blasting is $50/hr, half the cost of anyone else.
You mean like plastic wrap? Is that to keep the items clean and prevent rust? I've never heard of that so I'm curious to find out more about it...
Dang Harley those all look great hehe I have some of that bonded black chrome in the cabnet and I have not used it yet lol gonna have to look around for something to put it on now

Yes Sir. Any little bit helps, especially in the humid summer months.
Aaaah... I always forget you guys have this so called "humidity" thing LOL. I've had my Squareback sitting around for weeks now in just bare metal and there is not a single sign of surface rust. This 100+ and no humidity weather makes you forget a lot of the rust basics lol...
"So Called Humidity" Huh, Bring that squareback to Florida! Ill show you rustin DOUBLE TIME! Specially this week when a hurricane is gonna skirt on top or around us ( oh yeah, thats been the last 4 weeks in a row )
From Squareback to NoBack in less than a months time! HaHaHa !
