  • Picture resizing--

I can upload pictures and link them to just about every other forum without resizing.

    Not here--what gives?

Forgive my forward attitude, but I take problems head on without sugar coating, and this I see as a problem. I know the forum owners would love to see more customer pictures, so why not make it easier to get them up here?

I just had to resize some pictures and re upload them 3 times before I hit the majic number-

Thinking of Shelly made me try the 3rd time, otherwise I was going to say to heck with it.

This makes me wonder how many pictures we are missing out on-----

I'm sorry if it seems like I am griping a lot lately. but please see this as missed opportunities being pointed out.

    Re: Picture resizing--

I agree and think that 800x600 or something down those lines would work better than the current 640x480 limitations. As a matter of fact, I don't think there should be any limits on image size. This forum is too small to be affected by large pictures. However, if it's a legitimate concern to the administration the increase the size limit to 1680x1050.

640x480 is simply too small on a forum where a bigger image usually means the difference between being able to offer help with a problem or being able to match a color.

      pics posted here before resizing--

      http://forum.eastwoodco.com/showthread.php?t=9066

post 5 pics went there directly--

i then had to resize them 3 times to get them here. It is an uneeded hassle to reset my camera when all other forums allow the bandwidth,
      this is the real issue--

No reason they shouldn't work here.

        That's because I resized them!!

they went up on the other site full size though, looking just like that.

Heck, if it is easier for all of us I'll just post the pictures there and link the post. My camera has been set like it is for years, why change that to provide the pics this site wants?

Geez, if I am out of line please help me see where. The site should change for the world, not the other way around-
especially when they need pictures for their catalog

I realize that silly. I don't want to ruffle feathers, but I have a feeling this would please more people than it would upset.

I thought you were an admin, BTW

            Re: Picture resizing--

there is this small tool you can download from microsoft (free) called image resizer , once installed anytime right click on a pic and select resize and its done . less than 2 seconds and its resized to 640 x 480 , so i don t see where the problem is , and i certainly don t understand why you had to resize 3 times

              Re: Picture resizing--

If your camera is a digital it probably came with a photo program. In it you can switch them to whatever size you want. This way you can leave your camera set to it's best setting, and then when you do resize the qualitiy will be at it's highest.

                    VSO Image Resizer

                    http://www.vso-software.fr/products/ima ... m=virsetup

Watermark lets you put a transparent logo or name superimposed on your photos so someone else can't copy and claim the photo as their own.

                    Like so...
