I am curious as to if anyone has tried that and with what kind of results.

you can get MEK and it will do the same thing , some guys mix 50/50 , but you gotta experiment alittle , i use it for touching up letters and small nooks ....MEK is about 20 bucks for a gallon at lowes orHD

Yup, works great! Do like Ted said. Its not a paint, use it for touch up. Don't glob it on, lay it down smooth. It'll take some experimentation.

I was thinking it may work for my aluminum strips since they are such an issue for coaters to do.

Have you read all the old post about using it? https://www.powdercoatingforum.net/f...quid-to-powder I also use MEK for doing touch up but there is a art to mixing and you have a short window before it starts setting up on you. Once it is good a dry then the item can be put back in the oven a cured and I would do that the next day maybe. If you put it in the oven too soon then it will bubble on you. You can also just let it dry and be done with it. I have used it both ways. Liquid to powder once mixed will last a while and can be used latter. But once it dries it reverts back to a powder and then you bake it like you would your powder.
