I got a request today to do a stainless steel sink. Any probs with doing stainless? I was also thinking about using the one step phosphate for better adhesion.

You can check, but I'm not certain that phosphate will give a reaction (chemical conversion) on stainless like it does on regular steel.

It might not hurt, but there may be something better out there designed to etch or convert stainless.

You can phosphate the sink. I would powder coat the sink up side down, that way when the powder starts to slide, it will fall off. Rather than building up on one side or bottom. Stainless steel will only take so much of a charge, a lot less than regular steel, depending on the grade of stainless steel. You will know when the sink won't take anymore powder, when the powder slides like snow off a roof.

I just did a sample coat on a SS Panel we use @ work for icemaker doors i didnt have no prob. coating it or it sticking. I just wiped it clean and sprayed. Didnt even sand blast it or ruff it up with anything.
