  • Texture converson?

Is there any way to make a powder look textured? Customer would like some texture to the color I have that he likes. Can't find any texture powder in an almond like color powder.
I told him that most likely it would have to be custom made but I would at least check for him. All is ok to shoot what I have but thought I would at least try and see what I could find but no luck on my searching.

Maybe shoot a very strong texture as a base coat and then your top coat?

Doesn't work. Even a clear over a wrinkle, turns the wrinkle into a gloss.

No, not possible. The texture is a pre-extrusion additive, 0.2 to 5%.
It goes into the raw material mix for even distribution.
Its either PTFE or a PTFE based wax.
This is very light material with a lot of surface aerea and adding it into the fluid hopper would only float it and cause an uneven look.

I told the man that most likely that if there is one it would have been made for a company say doing outside type furniture. A lot of the colors we have has been made for that use and you see the basic ones all the time in stores. Like the hammer ones and the black textures. A lot of the others are for custom type stuff that we do. The color I have is called lucent white and it for sure is not white? Its a nice lite beige maybe color and maybe 60% gloss. And he said looks OK. Just him and the dog anyway and the dog don't care

But thanks guys for trying to help.

Thanks, I will check it out. Maybe they will sell it to me After I came down on them so hard with offering color samples last year They do have them now that you can buy but not sure if they send out free samples like NIC and PBTP does if they have what you might want? Has any one tried to get just one sample from them?

Hey Dusty got the powder in today and its going to be just right. Thanks and now have all their colors in a 3 ring binder and that's going to help also with out the guessing on what they have. NIC can have you up to I think 5 1x3 samples in about 3 days and that helps also. I like PBTP ones but they don't always have them because of what it takes to produce them but maybe they might need to go another route some day. They do help you out and even send you a small sample of powder and that's good but they did that for me and then when I told the lady what the total cost was going to be to do the job I think she left the country Just the fee for the blasting was more than she wanted to pay But she has to say I put in the time to try to do it
                Thanks Again
