I just ordered a color swatch from NIC to look at but PBTP puts theirs on real metal so I guess when they get around to it we can get a sample. If you ever shoot some of NIC again find a small flat piece and shoot it for me and I will be glad to send you the postage for it.
If you are ever at a dump or know someone getting rid of the drapes than are used for sliding doors that have the metal hooked by a chain at the bottom, get them. The are great for color panels and are the size of PBTP ones but heaver just blast them and shoot. They even have holes in them
Have a great weekend

So I put it this way. Can you come up with an original chevy orange that can be tested and know it matches? I used to have org painted valve covers but not sure if I have any more or not but bet I could find some. So if you want a real test I guess got to find the real paint I guess?
I am 62 and seen my share of chevy orange what about you and where have you seen it? I have 2 72 chevys, one vett and one MC and motors never been touched below the carbs And who says what you think is it is it?
Not to argue with you is not the point but what other companies say is it is the point! If you want a 100 point car its got to be 100% color and if not mistaken you can powder coat some parts as long as color is correct? But have not really checked into what is accepted now as to a few years back?
I just sent some rally wheel powder back to EW(want do it again, not worth the cost) To tell them the color was not right? They told me they did some testing and what the found it the color is right? But they didn't as I understand test what I sent back? Rally wheel is grayish/silver/charcoal not greenish bronze unless I missed something? I sent it back because I wouldn't put it on any thing but maybe a piece of out door stuff just to protect it and match the grass
I ask PBTP to send me two over full table spoons of it to shoot and they have not answered or called me yet?
Dag I am such an AH !!!! But real is real and prove it I say? Right?
Did I say enough?

I'm not saying PBTP's doesn't match, cause quiet frankly I would bet it does, I've had nothing but good results shooting their powders.. and I'm with you on the EW thing.. I've had a couple colors not turn out to be the exact color I thought I was buying and to say it's frustrating is an understatment...

Re: ANYONE LOOKING FOR CHEVY ORANGE ?
It shouldn't be? Two different colors but in orange? But maybe if you did the whole motor with it! Might look great? I have the mirror orange and its close but not chevy and would not work for 100 point type paint as a replacement.
When buying powder to replace paint so that one can not have to worry about keeping it up as much and if its going on a car that would fall under a 100 point car then its a touchy deal and over time a lot of items have been accepted because the look and the color is real and beside that its hard now to find org paints and products and some because of EPA standards.
So ask questions as you have done and then ask the higher ups if you are doing show autos.
