HAS ANYONE RECEIVED THIS GUN YET AND IF SO WHAT IS THE STATUS ? THE GUN WE ARE BRINGING IN IS MUCH DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE ON E-BAY SO YOUR THOUGHTS WOULD BE VALUED

On the other hand, I do have one and love it so far. I've done up to 5 coats cold so far. Takes some adjusting and does waste powder, but it works pretty darned well. Much better than my "other" gun. First coats are amazing, and the vein I posted the pic of was incredible how easy and evenly it shot. I even removed the damper off my powder booth that I had installed because the air volume would interfere with my other gun. This one even with full airflow in the booth, you can actully see the powder draw right to the part. The downside is the small cup, but much larger and it would be clumsy. If your model is even better, I think you'll have a winner for the guys who can't yet afford the big step to a Wagner. If my business keeps up the way it has the last couple of months, I'll be upgrading to the Wagner myself by this time next year.

Im with x-link kinda it works but it doesnt not sure if its me/gun or what.
Sometimes it does 2nd coats sometimes it wont so i just do it while its warm.
It does lay powder down very Good.
If this gun u guys get works (more than 1 coat cold/room temp) please let me know. I may give it a try.
I cant help but wonder if i bought a big name gun would i get any better results???

same here ..iam with x-link and zx10..powder lays great just having trouble with 2nd coats..played today with some setting combos and tips and got it to work so i think i just need more time with it...saving $$$ for the wagner ...thats next..good luck guys..

I have mine but have not had a chance to try it need to pickup a fitting for the airline. For the ones that are havong trouble check your grounds both at the outlet and look at the instructions you need to have a grounding spike driven into the ground and a wire from the spike to the back of the controll box. If you have a waterpipe that runs near you powder booth you should be able to atach a wire to that and skip the spike of course the pipe needs to be metal. Correct me if I am wrong on the waterpipe part

you are right on the pipe, i got mine while i was away at bike week so i only used it a little. the gun really puts out a cloud and does attract nicely with a good ground. i am doing some fine tuning with air pressure adjustments,and yes the cup is small,i have a long weekend coming up so i will let you know around the middle of next week if it was worth it. lots of work to catch up on.

So your saying it doesn't use the ground circuit on the electrical wire? I have a 5' long rod in the ground so I know my electrical service is well grounded.

I'll never cease to be amazed at the amount of time and effort you put into this business - especially for us "little guys". TNC was right about you guys. Took some of a while to "get it".

I started out like you guys with a hobby gun (Caswell) then to a EW Pro gun. I have done some very good work with those guns but you learn some very bad habbits by working around their issues. When I upgraded to my Gema (YEA BABY!) It took me a while to get it to do multiple coats cold. The number one problem I was having was trying to use too much voltage. The second problem I was trying to spray too close to the part, back away a little and up the powder volume a little and I think you will see those second coats go on easier. Number three powder is completely different than paint and I still catch myself trying to make the powder go where I want it to by spraying directly at the area. If your having trouble getting powder into a specific area then try changing the direction you are spraying the part from even try spraying it from the backside and see if it will wrap into the area giving you problems. If you want to see this in action try spraying some expanded metal, spray it from one side and the look how well the other side gets coated its usually better than the side you were spraying at.

OK, I GOT TO USE THE CHINA GUN TODAY.IT IS THE JP80T. TAKES SOME GETTING USED TO THE AIR ADJUSTMENTS, BUT I LIKE IT. I STARTED WITH THE HOBBY GUN, THEN WENT TO THE PRO GUN, NOW ON TO THIS ONE BEFORE A TOP OF THE LINE DEAL. TO CLARIFY THE GROUND SET UP, THE BOOTH IS GROUNDED TO A ROD, THE RACK IS CLAMPED TO THE BOOTH, AND THE GROUND WIRE IS CLAMPED TO THE RACK. SEEMS TO WORK GOOD FOR ME. AS I SAID BEFORE, THE CUP IS A LITTLE SMALL, BUT AFTER MESSIN AROUND WITH THE AIR, I GOT THE POWDER TO LAST A LOT LONGER (THANKS GHOST). THERE IS A LOT OF ADJUSTMENT AS FAR AS POWDER FLOW, SO I AM DOING SOME Q PANELS TO TAKE THICKNESS MEASUREMENTS, TO DIAL IT IN. THE GUN IS EASY TO CLEAN AND COMES WITH SOME EXTRA TIPS, AND A FLAT ATTACHMENT. I HAVE A BUNCH OF WORK FOR THE WEEKEND,AND I DON'T WANT TO BE TOO OPTOMISTIC,BUT SO FAR SO GOOD.

Well I shot some stuff today. I must say it does lay down a very nice first coat. I'm going to take your guys advise and ground with a rod. I can't do my booth cause its wood, but hopefully it will help.

Those look good X. My rack is wood that i hold parts with theres a steel rod through it(no $$ for Booth yet). SO im gonna run a ground rod to the control box of the gun.
