  • Considering building a 8x4x4 oven

Anyone built one of this size? or have links to the build? Im looking to do a roll in rack, I have been getting industrial request lately so being able to do a lot of parts on one rack is a must. Plus if you look at my other post, im getting a lot of quad frame request. So im looking to build something in the 8x4x4 range, with the ability to roll racks into it. Also with the front door I want to put a glass window in it. Can part temps be checked by shooting through the glass window? or does it need to be something I can open ? I was thinking of running dual fans in the roof of the oven for heat circulation and I was also wondering, what kind of lights can i install that can handle the temperatures of the oven? Im open to all opinions and suggestions I wanna do this right on the first tie for sure. Im going to order a TedsFabrication control box i believe and was thinking of running 3 3200w elements.

No you can not shoot part temps thru glass, it would have to be something you can open.

I have read through his many many times. And thanks for the answer to the glass question. Dumb question, why can you not shoot through the glass ? reflection giving inaccurate temperatures?

With overlapping door seals you and run a temp probe to your parts. Have not finished mine yet but when they tuned our oven they had probes run that way.

What kind of elements(size) are you using and what is your heat up time? Im wondering what its going to take to get an oven of this size up off its ass

Strange. Neither am I. The first time I clicked it, it said I had to register to go any further. Sorry. My bad.
