Uh, I'm a little confused - can you restate the question?
But I'll try this: Most colors that require a clear coat, require it for a reason - they have a metallic content. And almost ALL metallic base coats need to be fully cured before the clear caot is applied.
Thats okay you answered my question. That is what I thought. I was reading on the extreme chrome and it talked about setting the chrome first then laying the clear. Then a full cure cycle. I was just trying to make sure this wasn't true for all uses and just for extreme chrome. I am trying to learn all uses and applications for clear. In painting clear is used with a paint mixed for clear but also clear can be put over paints for other reasons.
