  • what is the secret?

how do you get a good even coat of the diamond acrylic clear? specially over a base coat, cause I cant seem to get an even coat.

Oh yeah, and when I did think I had an even coat, guess what, it was dripping off the part during cure!

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

What I do with the acrylic, is just enough to cover it solid and nothing more. Don't over do it. No shinny spots. Should come out good to go.

i really should say this but here we go
      shoot it cold
cover the part and don't over do it
make sure you cure at 325 i think for 15 minutes.
i was told by the best that this is a hard clear to shoot, and it likes a slow heat up
i shot it last week end for the first time and it came out very nice.
i hope the other frame i shoot this week end will turn out as nice

Sounds like this might not be a clear for faraday areas. It would be to easy to over coat. Do you not agree?

I have a heavy shooting hand. Always have. Thats probly the reason, that and I dont think I was getting a great ground on the parts.
