I finally got a chance to try the new Ultimate Chrome Friday evening. I have to say I am very impressed!!
The powder is a very fine grade compared to the other chromes I have tried. For those of you that were concerned about spraying it with a EW Pro gun I used mine for all the tests to see the results and also because I had so much going on with this project I did not want to clean out my BIG BOY
gun. This has a little more reflective finish than the super chrome I usually use. The impressive difference is when you apply the clear the surface does not gray out like the others. It does still lose some reflectivity but does not turn gray.
Powder: PBTP Ultimate Chrome (I really do like that name!)
Gun: EW PRO
KV: Max 25KV
Air pressure: 16-18 psi (not sure how that converts for you metric guys) Cup 1/2 full.
Basecoat: None
Topcoat: PBTP Mirror Clear
Topcoat temp: Room temp.
I let the parts cool all the way down before applying the clear.
Outside Pic the differential cover does not have clear but the heel guard does.

Beside polished alum with a clear coat.

Inside Pic

Swingarm Ultimate Chrome with Lolipop blue and mirror clear topcoat.
