  • Powder That is Mirror Chrome???

I am looking for the powder that is mirror chrome?? So mirrored you can not tell it was not dipped instead of powdercoated.

Also if a powder requires to be cooked at 400 degrees, will it withstand higher temps??? Say an exhaust pipe on a diesel???

There isn't a powder that is going to be mistaken for real chrome. PBTP ultimate chrome is the closest thing you will find.

They make high temp powder for doing exhaust type work. Don't use regular powder on something that is going to get really hot.

Most of the standard powders will tolerate continuous exposure to temps of around 250 f with no ill effects. If parts are subjected to temps much higher than that, the powder may discolor or lose its gloss, become brittle, or start to flake. If I remember correctly, the high-temp powders, because of their makeup, are able to withstand continuous temps of approximately 500 f but are not very impact or abrasion resistant. If you're dealing with anything hotter, a ceramic finish is the way to go.

I don't want to sound like Mr. Obvious, but if you want something that looks just like chrome and can withstand higher temps theres always... chrome.
