  • True copper?

Hi. I'm new to this forum and new to powder coating. I'd like to find a powder that results in something that really looks like polished copper. The sample image of "BONDED SUPER DURABLE COPPER METALLIC" in the online catalog is difficult to judge, and "JOLLIPOP COPPER ORANGE" looks too, well, orange. It would be great if someone could upload a photo of something done in Bonded Super Durable Copper Metallic, or at least confirm that it does or doesn't look like real polished copper. Many thanks in advance.

The copper metallic you mention looks to have a larger flake in it, where real polished copper would not. I'll check panels at the shop tomorrow to see if I have anything close to what you are looking for.
Thanks for the welcome and the quick response! It does look flaky in the photo.

Thanks, Harleydad. Yeah, those aren't quite what I had in mind. I'll look into the possibility of using actual copper and protecting it with either a clear powder-coat or even just some kind of sealant. Thanks again!

Thank you! I'm still waiting for my Craftsman Powder Coating System to arrive from the States (I live in Japan), but am so anxious to use it I've been running simulations in my head for various projects. :P

Thanks. I'm sure I'll have plenty of newbie questions once I actually start.
