  • installing my heating elements

I have 3 burners 2000W each, do I need 4 or will it be ok with just 3? And would it be ok if I put all the burners on the back wall?

    Re: installing my heating elements

I have 4 3100 watt elements in my 4x4x6 oven. Two on each side recessed in the wall for more oven room. You'll prob get faster and more even heating results with 4 evenly placed elements ( 2 on the back and 1 each side wall ) depending on the size of your oven.

If you seperate the elements 1 each side 1 on the back wall you would get a more even heating with fewer cold spots and a natural convection.

My oven 4x4x6 ouside. I think Im gonna go with 2 on the back wall and 2 on the sides.
I do plan on getting a fan from grainger and putting it up above the elements a little above half way.http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/it ... 1611765685

Doesn't take long for your oven to get hot does it? I only have to 3000 watt elements and I thought mine heated fast.

That was my plan from the begining. Put the 2 centered on each side wall and the other on the back wall. Take a close look at that one burner, the only way I could do that is to bend the ends. I thought it might screw up the element.

Ive bent my elements like a pretzels with no adverse effects.

I bent them where I wanted them to go, then back, then back again many times. LOL

Mount the element to an outlet box and attach the box to the wall.
