  • Candy Brown Question...........

I just got some Candy Brown powder and I was wondering if there is anything special I should know.........I'm a newbie, I'm starting to venture out of the single application stuff and goin' to try my hand a candies.............I'm guessing it works the same as other candies.........chrome base......then the candy.

I haven't been able to figure out from reading, when I cure the chrome coat, is it a full cure and when I shoot the candy and re-cure, is it also a full cure?

    Thanks for your patience...........

Candy brown is a semi gloss/low gloss finish. IMHO its not the best color to start practicing candy's.

When you spray it really heavy, its has a dark chocolate look.

I sprayed candy brown over brilliant brass to acheive and aged brass look.

I forgot to post. I'm by no means proud of this coating job. It was one of my first jobs from this spring. As you can see it goes from light to dark, the pieces in back have two coats on them.

Rosie's brilliant brass over blasted aluminum/steel I dunno what it was, candy brown top coat.

Its a fugly chandelier for the girlfriends parents. A freebie....

Its an ugly duckling, but the powdercoating looks good. Like KING said, you got the antique look nailed.
