I shot a mic shell with dormant purple over a chrome base with super clear coat from CC. For some reason, I didn't get good coverage in a small tight area. My question is can I reshoot the dormant purple over the clear coat and re-cure..........I hope so..........Thanks

you'll need another clear over the new coat of dormant though.
THANKS..........I've been holding out since last night for a reply. I was affraid I'd have to strip it and start over........big job because I'm not exactly set up for that yet. I've done it a couple times because I wasn't happy with the finish.
I figured to re clear coat it. The funny thing about the dormant purple (maybe most dormants?) is that when you cure it, it finishes silverish, it doesn't go purple til halfway thru the clearcoat cure........thanks for the quick reply.

yep - dormants only come out great after the clear as the colour bleeds out of the base coat into the clear.
really depends if you think your gun could the 4th and 5th coats - 2 coats of clear over a dormant changes the colour too.
