Can you also buff out clear coat. I've got a couple of small imperfections in the surface.....I should have asked this with the other question.........thanks again.
Thanks HD. I use super high gloss clear. I tried and failed badly. I'm gonna strip it and re shoot it AGAIN. It will be the third time..........very frustrating. Everything else I shot has gone on great. This dormant purple his a paint in the butt. It's a beautiful color, but it's kicking my butt. I'm a rookie, but I'm a quick study..........I usually don't make the same mistake twice........usually anyway.
Are there any good over the counter strippers that I can get locally? I forgot to order some with my last shipment. I'm currently using a combination of a torch and a wire wheel..........
Thanks fellas.............I actually did two of these same mics yesterday. This ones mine and a buddies (that's the one I have to redo). Mines OK, but I don't want to send his to him until I get it right.
Hi, i'm new here. this is my first post but i have been reading a lot of posts here and learning a bunch. i figured it was time i pitched in. i've been using the kleen strip brand "Paint Stripper". it's in an aerosol can and is cheap at $5 a 15oz can. i have goofed up some stuff before and new i was gonna have to redo when i pulled it out of the oven and i sprayed this stuff on it as soon as it cooled and the powder almost fell off. now if you leave it there a week it's a different story. i hope this helps somebody in the future.
