  • Scotch high temp fine line tape

Has anybody tried this stuff?, Scotch high temp fine line tape...says it is good to 325 deg. F, I'm thinking about giving it a try and was wondering if anybody here has used it and had an opinion.
If it is good maybe PBTP could stock it

you can read about it here http://www.drillspot.com/tag/scotch-hig ... line-tape/

Yes, we can stock almost any products at your request. We have to test them first to make sure they work on all types of substrates, applications, and powders. I have to ask a few questions though, what is the benefit of using this tape over the gree high temp tape? I see the prices on this tape is higher, and if it is because they have tape that is very thin, we can get thinner stuff in the high temp green tape. Please let me know what your reasons for using this are and we will look into it immediately.

    Thanks

It would just be nice to have a high-temp tape that actually sticks long enough to shoot a second coat. I have 3 different brands of tape, and all of them lift during the cure cycle and I have to remask for each coat.

We checked into this a few times to see if there were other brands of high temp tape out there that didn't lift during the cure. The only one we found was the silicone tape. The tape we stock now seems to do the best.

Looks to be about 75 degrees of what we do almost all powder at? Are do you just want to be able to leave it on longer before you have to pull it off and then finish curing?

It is a little pricey looks like? But even the price on a 3M site is higher and that's for 144 rolls?

I was thinking maybe it would be more flexible and easier to work with and also you could leave it on longer than blue painters tape.
I don't really care for the green tape it just does not seem to stick very well...but I have only tried the stuff from ew, is the pbtp stuff different?
