My compressor is to small.I've been looking on and off for 4 or 5 months now. This is the best deal I have found. What do you think.http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/d ... mber=92504

    Re: compressor choice

IMO this is not a good choice. If you can financially afford it, look for a 2 stage with an 80 gal tank. You can never have to much air. A single stage will work much harder keeping up with demand than a good 2 stage.

HF is ok for some items, but I wouldn't put my money in a compressor from them. I purchased a Sears(DeVillbiss) 80 gal 2 stage a couple of years ago. It has worked flawlessly and keeps up with my 90 pound pressure blaster.

Ive got a Ingersol Rand 2 stage 60 gallon. I got it for just under $1000 through Grainger. I went through my wprk so I got a better deal than if I were off the street. Sears sells them for like 1300 I think.

It keeps up with everything I got going on, and at the time a 80 gallon wasn't in the budget or needed. I ended up spending a few hundo on a nice dessicant dryer setup.

          I'm really happy with it.

I just got this one from Eaton http://www.eatoncompressor.com/page/page/504747.htm a few weeks ago.....good price, great service, prompt delivery, 5yr warrenty plus the head is rebuildable....works great so far but the real test will be when the new blast cabinet gets here from his brother at BadBoy lol.

                        MY SOAPBOX:
To make it even better these (Eaton & BadBoy) are two family owned businesses in Ohio......I am making every effort to keep my money in the U.S. because #1 I know that will help the economy if I do it .......if everyone would do it we will get through this better and faster. #2 unlike the bailout I know where this money went lol.

One other thing to add....since they under drive the head it is one of the quitest compressors I have ever heard, which was another one of the reasons we bought it.

I use a Campbell Hausfield 5hp 60gal. 11.4cfm@40psi - 9.0cfm@90psi 135psi max. It's worked great so far. In the future I may step up to a two stage. These are affordable as well. My 90 pound pressure blaster works great of of it.
