Are the spokes coming off to do on the side? They might be rusty enough to where you'd want to take them apart to get all the rust, etc.. Is the wheel trued already? If you coat it put together, it'll ruin the finish if you have to have them trued in the future.

No it's not coming apart. And yes it's trued already. The car is being redone in a custom hot rod shop.

spokes suck, I hot flock the nipples, and hub spoke joint from both front and rear.
then throw back in the oven for 2-3 min, then shoot like normal, starting with the Faraday areas first.
could not imagine wet spraying those...... they suck!!!
We charge $100 pr wheel, strip, shoot single stage color

lots of fun time in blasting those, lots of nooks and crannies to get. I know from experience how much fun you will have. Make sure you burn out any grease that is hiding in the hub where the spokes are, caused me some problems. good luck

Sorry this took so long for me to reply. I shot the wheel cold. The hard areas was the hub so as the powder built up on the rest of the wheel I blew the build up off. Not with a blow gun but with my own hot air. I found a blow gun would blow to much off. I did use a blow gun to clean the splines off in the hub. The first coat I used a BeeBob trick. I put the wheel in the oven after coating with the Wheel Silver. Then as the powder flowed I pulled the wheel and inspected for areas that may need touched up. I found one spot on the hub so I left the wheel to cool and later shot the one spot. I used a blow gun to blow the rest of the wheel off leaving it clean except for the one place. Then I placed it back in the oven and cured fully. When I took it out it was awesome so I coated it with the clear. Below is a photo of the spot after curing and before the clear. Thanks for asking, and the compliment.

Just thought everyone might want to know. The Hot Rod shop owner liked the wheel and so did the owner of the car. So I got the job of doing all of them. Now I have four more of these to do.
The Ralley wheels I did were for this same shop. Thanks to all of those that help me with advice.
