i shot a piece and it outgassed. can i sand lightly and re-shoot it? if a piece outgasses will it do it again on the second try?

it was an old top of a tripple tree from a harley from the 1970's. i knew it was going to give me trouble thats why i outgassed it first. i used a chrome powder that has to be cleared. the guy doesn't care too much if it does not look perfect but i want it to at least look decent! sorry no pics at this time (after putting in a full day at work when this happened i just shut my oven down and went to bed

Without a pic, I would say that if it outgassed the first time, it will do so the next coat without outgassing the part and layind down an outgass forgiving primer.Originally posted by mark61
