Thanks guys.........I ordered some KL primer this morning........I'm gonna give it a shot. I am only experiencing a couple of small pinhole issues with outgassing. I'm hoping that if I lay down a primer coat, and sand it, etc. that it will take care of it. I'm only shooting pieces that are smaller than your double up fist and I am getting only 1 or 2 pinholes..............I'll let you know how it goes.

I agree with Jason 100%. And I've also had some that nothing would prevent from outgassing.

Use the KL primer and bake it low and slow then ramp to finalize the cure. I usually go 275 for 20 min then ramp to 400 for the 18 min.
I only do this when I am using it on pot metal. This will hold the powder open longer so the bubbles can escape and the powder heal its self back. Good luck I have tried coating some pot metal that nothing will help.

kl primer would be your best bet. maybe an out gas forgiving top coat..

Is there a primer that I can use on pot metal to help with my outgassing issue. I'm not sure if there is such a thing, but can someone point me in the correct direction. I know with standard auto body painting, it requires a primer, is there such a thing for powder coating...........
