I havent used it yet, but it looks like it would be awesome for doing recessed letters in valve covers.

I haven't tried it yet but others have posted that it's a tricky thing to use. I recall someone writing that they had best luck when mixing it in equal portions by weight. Do some searching and you should find a few discussions on it. Please post your results when you get a chance.

Can be used when trying to do marbling.

I have done several searches, not found anything useful.

anyone know the use for this with marbleizing?
I kinda know the basics, bucket of water, borax, liquid paint/ink.... but no one seems to say much more than that.
airbrushing, pin striping, lettering....... anything else?

Yea I was thinking it would be awesome in an airbrush. how does one try to do marbling? I just started a 'real' job for the next 4 weeks so I am not going to get to play very much at all hopefully my shipment will make it in by the weekend since I have Sunday off! I am going to get a sheet of steel and cut 'er all up and do a billion test panels and see just how many times I can clean my gun out in an afternoon heheh thank god for pneumatic shears!

One really good place is in the deep seam/joint of steel wheels. Paint it on with small brush, or spray it with a gun, let dry and then coat as normal. These joints always reject powder so bad. Getting something liquid-based down in there first, really seems to help.

Another cool thing you can do is powder coat glass and other non-conductive surfaces without hot flocking. I've used it before, I didn't have the patience for it at the time; as said earlier in this thread you have to mix to the proper ratio or it'll either be to thick or run.

                      Re: liquid to powder uses???

                      good info, and ideas.
I like the deep recess idea
I have an air brush gun, and pin stripping equipment ( not that I know how to use them )

I just like to ask lots of questions, other wise I'll be limited to the thought process of my 6 year old brain

keep the ideas coming, I need all the help I can get, once I get it and play, I'll share my finding's

                      thanks all

tried mixing up some of the solution, getting ALOT of air bubbles.

Ours did the same. I then let it sit overnite & just now "re-stirred" it & it has alot better consistency, with no air bubbles. The liqiud i brushed on the rim yesterday just blew off when i put the air hose on it .... so back to square one!!!!

                              Re: liquid to powder uses???

I just went back, and mixed my solution 40% powder/60% P2L, ALOT nicer Constancy,(could air brush, or hvlp the liquid) brushed some on a tile, and threw it in the oven.
It out gassed (like the directions say it will) but it did work.
I'll try a few other things Monday
