  • Easier way to coat engines

My latest project from the "skunk works" lets the powder "fall" into the fins from any angle . Threaded rods with nuts and bolts and a crossing wire for hanging. Put the nuts inside the mounting holes so the rods don't scratch the inside of the tubes. Hanging is better than putting on the pan it gives you more options. It's also a good idea to wrap the rods with foil BEFORE pc'n, it's a lot easier getting the thing apart after curing!

In case you've never done these before and want to try....Go to your local bike shop BEFORE trash day! I got both cyl and heads for free out of their junk pile! Check with the store FIRST before rooting through their trash...you might get shot! You can then bring back some actual samples to show them the "magic" you can do with powder...

Todd has something similar. His have flat pieces that cover the holes also. I guess there are different sizes `cause he has 3 different sized ones? I will take pics & post tomorrow.

$150 for the pair and $175 for the heads, NO polished fins. The ultimate chrome cylinder will be a color test to show how candy red and flat ano red look over a chrome base. Half and half candy and ano, I'll post pics when I'm done with it.
