  • Gas Cap ??

Guy wants his Gas Cap & Ring Coated. I know i have to remove the rubber ring but is there anything else i need to remove inside that could melt.
This is off a Honda 954RR. Never did one for a honda. Mine i took completely apart and there was no rubber anywere inside just under the key hole flap. (which melted)

    Re: Gas Cap ??

I have done a couple, some have plastic parts in the hinge (found out the hard way ), other than that, everything else I have found to be seen easily.

All the lock guts under the flip-up cover should unscrew and remove from the backside. I remove the entire lock/tumbler/vent portion that you show with the gasket around it.
