Got a call for someone looking for anodizing on some aluminum parts. Do any of you have deal with this or have someone who does? Let me know and I'll pass the contact info along. Thanks!

Originally posted by BeeBobI don't, but you can do flat blue and red ano "powder". PBTP is suppose to be coming out with a bunch more ano colors. They look the best over chrome or polished.Comment

Re: Anodizing, anyone do it?
Originally posted by BeeBobCaswell's has ano kits, but for me that's too much work when the powdered ano looks just as good and is alot easier to do.
I will be buying one of their anodizing kits this summer.Comment

Re: Anodizing, anyone do it?
I have a LCD anodizing kit. I am still perfecting the technique as it has a very steep learning curve and I have very little free time to learn. It also takes some mathematical knowledge to get the current correct for the size part you are doing (the 720 rule). As far as durability goes it is no where close to powder coating but it has a very unique look. If you invest in a anodizing kit expect to pay at least $800 - $1000 for quality equipment. Be sure to get a good power supply (that means no battery chargers).

Anodizing is an electric process of oxidizing aluminum that can be tintedbasically you are adding corrosion to the metal.
