I might have a chance to bid on pcing the inside and outside of large pipe that will vary in diameter and length up to 50ft. The outside is not a problem and i think i have it figured out how to do the inside but i need to know how long of a hose can you push powder through. If the part is 50ft long i would need to push the powder about 60ft. Will this work or is there equipment i can get to make it work? This is one of those jobs everyone wishes they would get but probably won't. Second only to government work. They already send there large sheetmetal panels out to get pced but with this contract they are thinking of starting there own finishing shop and if they do that i would be first in line to run the finishing dept, but i would still need to know how to do the inside of pipe. Mabe a large fluidizing tank and dip the parts in it?

Re: how long is your hose?
The 360 degree shouldnt be a problem. As far as ther oven goes it will probably be a drive through infrared. Starts at one end and 10-20 min, latter it comes out the other end all cured. I will be contacting gema, wagner and others next week to see what there suggestions are. Thought there might be someone that looks at this forum who works in the industrial powder coating business that could give me a few suggestions or ?? on how to do the insides. I see places on the internet that will pc pipe. I'm just not sure how they do it.Comment

Re: how long is your hose?
Up here in Alberta, Canada. 50' pipe or longer pipes gets powder coated inside. The oil/gas companies want it that way. I have seen a powder coating shop that has a remote control car type thing that runs the length of the pipe. The powder coating system they have is an custom made (computerized). The gun is for a automatic powder coating system. This might help.Comment

Re: how long is your hose?
Thanks rustytruck, The car type thing is what i was thinking about and that also answers my question about pushing the powder that far. I have a few months to get the info, on what will be needed to do the job and a few more months to get it setup if i get the job.Comment
