So has anyone pced a computer case? I popped a piece into the oven last night, and whatever the coating on it is now took the heat. You guys think I can just shoot right over the original paint or whatever it is or should I blast it all down? It is a brand new case. I am wondering if I need to break the frame of the case down to all its individual parts and coat it then re-rivet it all back together, or if i can get a good enough coat just by shooting it as 1 piece. Dr. Faraday is going to be paying a visit I can see for sure...lots of little corners and shit if I don't disassemble it (lots if I do too actually...).

Re: computer cases
Most computer cases are powder coated. So coating over the case shouldn't be a problem. Sand and coat it.Comment

Re: computer cases
This one wasn't powder coated, it was paint for sure...WAS!
Actually I need to clean the outside up a bit more before I coat it and that is going to have to wait till morning as I am all out of air (apparently it makes people angry when the compressor is ripping away at 3:30 am) but I got the inner frame all done in the special mirror white. The outside is almost perfect, it needs a little touch up w the stripper in the morning and a good clean up. I ran out of white rivets so I couldn't put it all back together...back to the hardware store again tomorrow!Comment

Re: computer cases
So I am having some consistency issues and that damn faraday fellow is about annoying. The pictures look nicer than the actual product, there are a couple spots I got the clear on light I think, or maybe it was the dormant blue on light, but it came out with some almost teal shades to it. I also had a couple spots that had build up on em...I need to check things better before I cook it!Comment
