Side by side there is a very slight difference, but I could only tell the difference by the reflections of light. The mirror black has a more clear (mirror)reflection of my light fixture where the bumper black is more blurred.

The bumper black looks just like the aftermarket bumpers and receivers and hitches you buy for your trucks or whatever. I guess that is how it got its name? So I guess it all depends on what you are after? More shine and smoother or just a tad bit less shine and maybe a little less smooth? When I first shot it I thought I was using mirror black till I put it up to a piece I had done.
