  • Guys Lets talk filters.....

Hey guys...hope this is the right section, because I need a little advise on my oil problem. The shop I rent has a huge screw compressor.... it's great thing, and has enough cfm (90-100) that I don't have to worry about running the blaster all day. There is one problem though it has alot of oil in the lines and im having to run a seperate smaller compressor for my wagner gun. I then have to rinse and clean the crap out of all my stuff after blasting cause I have a lot of oil contamination from the screw compressor running the blast room. I have two filters (cheaper crap) and one toilet paper filter before the room, but the oil is still getting in.

What filters do I buy to help me out? Now, I only want to buy them once and not play around with all this china crap out there. I seen some good prices on some Omni/Parker Coalescing oil filters on ebay. What do you guys suggest?

Buy yourself some quality oil separators. Sounds like I would put two in. One up stream, one down stream.

I use a dryer from Sharpe, its spendy but I don't have issues.

That sounds like a lot of oil! Could they have an in-line oil lubricator/mister set-up somewhere?

I know some of our members have big screw compressors, and don't have oil problems like that.

        Sounds like a major headache.

I have a good-size Sharpe filter also - moisture and oil filtering, but i don't think it's designed to handle oil like that. Got it on sale at EW recently.
