Lacquer Thinner and the rag will work, try to keep any wipe up to a minimum and use clean rags / paper towels often. Silicone spreads and is not visible, then use a paint prep which should help get rid of it. I've had a couple of paint jobs ruined because of the fish eyes silicone creates. Does PBTP have an additive for powder similar to Fish eye remover for paint? Good Luck!

What is it? Paint stripper a lot of times will remove some silicone sealers. I have had this work for me when stripping cars for body work and painting.

I have used acetone and it usually works pretty well.... You could also try stuff called goof-off. I think thats supposed to work, I think it even says on the can it will work....
