  • Harley Davidson heat shields

I need to do some HD heatshields in high temp gloss black, I did a bud bottle (PBTP HIGH TEMP GLOSS BLACK 35%)and it wasnt the gloss that the customer wanted ,this may be due to me not curing at high enough temp or long enough time. I cured at 400 for about 15 minutes and then read that it wants 450 for 20 minutes, si I am redoing the bottle. Has anyone dealt with this powder on heat shields or other powder to get the high gloss without if failing down the road . Any hints from you guys is appreciated.

While you are undercured, that black is not going to be too glossy anyway as it's a 35 degree gloss level.
Have you ever played with a coat of high temp followed by a coat of high gloss?

I wasnt refering to a high gloss clear, but a high gloss black.

All the ones I have done I did them in PBTP's SD Wet Black. Real glossy and it resembles HD Vivid Black.
