  • Post pics of your spray booth setups! Or your entire setup!

Hey guys, I have an unfinished room right now that I plan to turn into my powdercoating area/office. Any input on ideas would be very helpful. I plan on running a hardline or two from the first floor garage to here.

Specifically, I'm wondering how to setup my spray booth so that the dust/powder doesn't get everywhere. Should I just put up plastic sheets in a corner with 2x4 framing? and put my booth inside the makeshift room? Should I put up a real wall? Should I install an exhaust fan to vent outside?

Also, what do your sandblasting setups look like?

    Thanks for your input!

Do you plan on keeping the oven in the same area? Keep in mind that you will want to keep your oven and booth at the same level unless you're using some sort of conveyor system.

Whats ur budget? You can have a ghetto system with plastic walls, or a nice fancy pro built booth for a few grand. Or midle of the road for 2-300 bucks.

hey juan - i plan on having my oven and spray booth on the same level. the idea with this addition to my house is to make the bottom floor have a lift, tig welding bench, blaster, parts washer, other messy dirty greasy things, and have the top floor for clean(er) office space / powdercoating setup.

rbroker - my budget is around ~1000 for setup, but i can adjust it if necessary. im leaning away from the idea of a permanent wall, because i may want to change the room/setup later on. i know plastic sheets will look super ghetto, but if it works, it works!

can you guys post pics of your setups? im looking for ideas ... so seeing how other people have their space setup would be a HUGE help!!

i remember there was a thread a WHILE back - anyone have the link to that post?
