  • shot my first parts today

Well i got up early and put togeather a simple hopper moded my hf gun filled with powder and began to play. Took the hopper apart a few times to drill more holes in the copper tube. Got it flowing real good. shot an aircleaner bracket for the bike and baked and it came out a little transparent so i played some more and got better. I than shot some more brackets and baked came out looking sweet i thought. Then i shot my upper fork covers, turned out looking like a mirror, nice and smooth. Then i moved on to my cylinders and what a pain. I was unable to get deep into the fins i am assuming due to the faraday. I have no way to adjust the kv on my gun. I am using the SD wet black. I am going to buy the pbtp membrane and build a different style hopper. I will try to get some pics up.

Also any suggestings on shooting the cylinders using my "wish i was a real gun" HF gun?

    Thanks

Unclip the ground or shoot them hot...

if you are using the screw on diffuser still that goes on the end, toss it in the trash. you will be amazed at how well you can get into those faraday areas. it was impossible for me with it on. easy as cake with it off.

When shooting parts hot, it should be warm...it you spray powder at too high a temperature it can run.....120F-150F please...
