What powder should i use for the base coat for Candy Red? The customer is looking for a Candy Apple Red. Is there anything close to this beside the Candy Red?
chrome is nice, but I prefer to do transparent over silvers with a heavy flake like TD sparkle silver
how would that effect if i shoot it with candy red? Customer is looking for a candy apple red (not sure what the differance is). is there a color differance in the candy red vs the transparent? I will be shoot over chrome moly tubing that has been sandblasted. His idea is to shoot it with a white color as the base but, i am not to sure on this method or results.
Never done this process but i am looking forward to do this project.
candy/transparent= same thing
over non reflective colors usually does not have great results.
to get the glow, and depth you need a reflective base coat
Transparent Red is a polyurethane and is a deep red...multipule coats will also deepen the finish. Candy Red is a polyester with pearl, I think more of Candy Apple Red between the two.
