I agree that an entire forum full of "price check on this part" wouldn't be very useful. What do you all think about a list of frequently asked price checks? Almost like a price list, or an index? Just an idea, not sure how well it would work... I even volunteer to maintain it if it's ever created.
Edit: Mr. Crimson posted his reply two seconds before mine, but I think we're both thinking down the same lines LOL.
I think a seperate section rather than a stick would save a lot of time... It would be good for a quick reference, rather than look through 150 pages of responses on the sticky, hoping to find what you are looking for.
I Think its a great idea for us new guys
I find it hard to price over here. no one seems to do special one off pieces around were I live
and people dont understand how long it can take to prep and coat a piece
They are used to the big boys who only do White, black and silver. £10 per part
Just an idea
Can you mods put your heads together and set out a rough guide and then lock the post
if others have a different idea on price that you agree with you can change it
If it is a sticky, then you would have to search through one thread, a zillion pages to MAYBE find what you are looking for. If it were another forum, then it would be a quick search. Its not perfect, but I still think its better than the sticky. I know it is easier to check the "ask pbtp" or the tech info forums first than check the "how did i screw it up" sticky thread. A list of fair prices is also another good idea, and I think it could work as well....
very true..... but.... another plus side is there will always be "price check- ATV frame" threads popping up, when someone new comes on. There is alot of price check questions on here and another forum specifically for price checks would save alot of time, and would be a benefit for alot of coaters. Maybe sticky the really common threads like the atv frames, motorcycle frames, wheels, hookah pipe questions. I know its not perfect, but it would free up space on this forum, and would be a good place to start when looking for prices. I don't think it would hurt anything to have it....
