I have all I need to make it an oven except on how to insulate it? Its 18"w x 30"d x 60"h It was a food warmer. If I could find a backed type then just maybe I would not have to build and outer shell for it? It all aluminum. Cost more to go get it than I paid on the bid on the gov auctions site?
High-Temp Fiberglass Insulation Sheeting 2" Thick, 24" X 96"
In stock at $26.95 Each
Double that up and you might not have much heat at all. Then use some type of insulation board from home depot or Lowe's. (Outside and inside are a metal foil material and the inside is fiberglass.)
If I was to do it on a budget thats what I would do instead of metal.

And just how did I know you would be the first to answer
I remember doing some research and looking way back and then last month when I forgot to do my over due back up on my lappy top lost all on C but keep all on d/e and f. Thank goodness I redo my computers and separate the main drive just in case the operating system takes a dump and it did. I had been running a test on how long it would run with out a new install and it lasted from 2004 till now and then I screwed up and didn't back up!!!! On me that one was for sure. I have 3 laptops and all the same except one had a 40 gig and 2 had 20 gig ones and I didn't get my "Sht" togeather on my data transfer like I should and also have to keep the home computer running and my wifes laptop also.
I will check out the link and see what I can find to do what I need.

Anytime Duke.... I need to get an external hard drive for my files. My hard drive makes a nice vibrating noise every-once in a while.

Its a goina go just when you don't want it to??????? I have the CMS unit and just didn't back all of it up because I normally send every thing to another computer and now even to a drive on the home computer but have been to dag busy trying to get all my mess together on the powder and as I said I lost the battle! The CMS unit is not cheep but you can take it out of its case and put it in the unit and you are back in business like it never happened at least that's what it supposed to do? I am getting this computer like I want it and then going to back it up again and when I am happy I will swap its drive with the back-up one. Then I will take the one that I took out of here and install it in the one that went down and format it and start a copy so both will be the same and then have one more to do with a bigger HD and it will be the main unit.
Its no problem its just not either hot enough or cold enough to keep me out of my shop if you know what I mean?
Meanwhile........back to your oven question - you'll need steel, galvanized or stainless for an internal liner to sandwich hi-temp insulation. Even then, the aluminum will suck up the heat like nobody's business and warp like a mofo. Seems like an awfully small oven to put much money into just for the sake of calling it a p/c oven??
Yep the aluminum part is really what I was wondering about. As a food warmer it does ok but when 400 degrees hits it is when it might get fussy. It was like a big steamer with a small tub in the bottom for water and the heating element.
Maybe I will make it into a powder storage container. Its got wheels and easy to move and then maybe glue some insulation board on it?
