  • ultimate chrome

    is anyone using a base coat before they shoot ultimate chrome? i was using a black base but am shooting an aluminum part so i was wondering do i need a base coat?

    If you have cast aluminum I would recommened using an outgass forgiving powder prior to the ultimate chrome, please remember that Ultimate Chrome needs a clear coat @ 2 mils

      In my experience, Ultimate Chrome is completely opaque if applied in the correct thickness. I've coated everything from previously chrome plated parts to anodized (black) pieces and they come out the exact same "color."

        thanks, and thanks, i try to take notes when i shoot stuff, the only trouble is trying to find the notes

          Write the notes on your hand just don't wash that hand and I did not go off topic ....

            I here ya, I'm a write everything down note guy also but where I put them is the question.
            I have to write notes to tell me were the notes are to tell me the process used last time I wrote a note!
