  • My price check:)

I try not to do the price check thread, but this is an awful lot of parts to gamble on pricing right. I don't even know what the heck some of them are. He will drop more parts off tomorrow and I want to be able to price the 1st batch for him.

All are brand new, all will be wet black. Scuff n shoot. I don't know what to tell him. I was thinking $225. Only two parts require masking (the pedal assembly)?

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!
    Rob

OK I got to say...I didn't post last night when I saw that pile, I'm a new guy so hey what do I know. but I looked at that pile and thought that price was just a little low. You guys are totally rubbing off on me!!! My call was totally with C...$250-275 just because its so many parts, not that much surface.

For us at least we always have one day a week where we shoot nothing but gloss black, and spread the set up/ clean/ and other fees out a little to ea client to be more competitive.
doing it this way for us any how we make the same margin, and clients pay a little less "win win"

            Re: My price check

I'm giving him a slightly better deal because of the volume of parts. Had he brought 2 at a time it would be a lot more.

He's a part time bike builder out of his garage, I hope to get some more work out of him.

            I'll go with $235.

            Thanks for the confirmation guys.

I'm in the EXACT same situation right now. Got a dude building Harleys and bobbers out his garage during his spare time and he gave me a small pile of parts (dash cover, fender brackets, brake this and that). I'm quoting him about the same, 200-250 since I'll be shooting wet black anyway.
