Anyone got a link to some cheap 3300-3500 watt elements? Seems like most places don't list the wattage...

You got 2 of them in your oven correct? Do you wish you had more? My oven will be 29 x 32 x 65 inside so I think thats a little smaller than yours.Comment

I ended up paying just over 30 bucks, just a quick trip down the street. Yup, I got two of them in there. 72" H x 40" W x 33" D are my oven dimensions and they do a great job in there. I think 3 would have been perfect, but I'm crazy when it comes to being symmetrical so I would have ended up with 4 instead lol. It takes about 15-17 minutes to reach 400 and just about 20 minutes to get closer to 450. I think that's pretty good timing for the size. It climbs at a rate of about 1 degree per 2 seconds, this is usually in par with the smaller less dense parts inside. I hope that helps.Comment

I used 20 gauge in all inside walls except the door. That's 18 gauge. Then the outside is made up of 22-24 gauge sheet metal. All insulation is 4" mineral wool.Comment

Re: Oven elements
I have some odd ball elements they are 3000 watt and are new never opened that I will sell. The problem is none of the elements are the same. I'll sell them for $8.00 each. I think I mite have six or eight left.Comment

Re: Oven elements
Ok so I removed the elements from my old kitchen oven and the regular element is 3000 watts and the broiler is 2900 watts. So 5900 watts total
You think that will do all right in a 29 x 32.5 x 65 oven?
35.5 cubic footComment

Yes you will be fine providing you have a good insulated shell , our 3x3x6 oven has 5400watts and gets to temp within 10-15 minutes , so you should be okComment

Good to know, I am toying with the idea of building a 3x3x6 or a 4x4x6. Figure if I can't do coating now might as well build a bigger oven. Makes sense to me anywayComment
