Ok well the Caswell 50kv finally puked only after a few months of use so now the big question is???? the King Coat or the Hyper Smooth 100kv???? I hate to ask this question on here but I cannot afford to be hanging again by a failed gun..
denny
I would get the King Coat because it is a hopper unit and the support is great. I work in an industrial plant and I am going to take it to work because I believe it will coat better than the industrial guns I am using now. Do your homework.
This thread motivated me to take a picture of the King Coat while I was out in the shop. This thing rocks...
No equipment is perfect, but I can assure you that if anything goes wrong with your King Coat the PBTP staff will take care of it and be more than happy to help.
I won't take anything away from the Hyper gun. But it is what it is. I have to go with the King also, for several reasons. You can ask Mathew what I've been through, along with a few others and I here to tell you, that nobody but nobody would have been there for me as much as PBTP has been. I've been on the phone, on hold had to call back or they call me back. But the important fact remains is that they were there for me. I mean for ME. You see what I'm saying? And I've been in this long enough to know where the support is. PBTP is # one in my book and so is the KING GUN. I just took video's yesterday and will get them up when I can make them smaller. Caswell comes in second. THE END.
A thought to ponder, please review the description on the Gun and Hopper since this unit does have a true fluidizing membrane, air flow, cloud, ect. Compare it to the design of a Wagner Hopper or Equal and you will find that the hopper is the same design. In custom coating your are trying to simulate the same process done in manufacturing using the best tools available. If you would like a drawing simply pm me your email address and I will send you one....
