Question, is everyone aware of how this works and why fluidization is so important when using metallic's ?

Re: Bonded Metallics
because the metallic pigments separate from the powder particles via vibration.
causing the metallic pigments to rise to the top of the box.
fluidizing constantly mixes them with a gentle streams of air resulting in a more consistent film thickness build, and color consistency
I know when we were made aware of this, and bought a fluidizer chrome, and metallics were instantly noticeably better.
easily 10 times better looking.
We then bought a fluidizer for the chrome, and silver, and gloss black we use the most (3 total) and have not regretted it.
I noticed that with the high gloss black it help also, color, gloss, and smoothness all increased greatly.Comment

Replace cornflakes with powder particles and the milk with electrons and you are there.
Its simple physics: Cornflakes come in diffrent shapes and SIZES. Every size has a a certain amount of surface aerea. The larger the surface area, the more milk gets into contact with the flakes.
Every time you spoon something out of your bowl, you get a mix of different sizes. The ratio of smaller and bigger flakes changes during your meal.
At the end of your breakfast, take a look at the bottom of your bowl.
Any big pieces left over?
Gravity and (surface-area) to (particles-size) ratio are the key words.
If I use your cornflakes analogy one step further, and say that the flakes are metallic pigments which have to arrange themself in a certain layer configuration on your part, you can see that changing the size ratio of your flakes will change the look.
Take a spoon of large cornflakes and the same weight amount of smaller flakes and compare. One spoon will be full with lots of air cavities and the flakes pointing into all directions, the spoon with the smaller flakes will look much more compressed and the flakes are more or less all parellel.

Theking when you start givin em out for free be sure and email me!!!
benwish great analogy. I was geekin out on some of the stuff theking mailed me I think it was that was talking about that...and graphing virgin vs reclaimed powder particle size. its the little things that matter...no pun intended of courseComment
