Alot of guy's will put it in a spray bottle and just spray until it runs off clean. Just be sure it's completely dry before you apply any powder, even if that means popping them in the oven for few minutes. I usually just use clean dry air and a back brush like you would use in the shower.
That's what I usually do. I use a spray bottle to drown the part in alcohol until it drips off the part clean. Let it sit for a second and blow it off with an air gun. Since I've gotten into the habit of off-gassing everything I know it will always be dry by the time I'm ready to coat.

So HD do you just hit it with air after blasting? I have been using just a dry clean rag then hitting stuff with the torch quick to fry any fuzzies. I still don't have any primer... I need some big time. That stand I did the other day needed a coat. It came out nice, but it would have been perfect with a coat of primer.

You know that they sell different percentages of that isopropyl? Make sure you got the high %...I think its 99% and the lower is 95% or they might be lower than that. The lower one doesn't evaporate nearly as well. Its only like a buck or 2 more for 1 of the big bottles of the good stuff and it will evaporate real well unless its cold.
