  • Paint Thickness Gauge

Anyone using the less expensive thickness gauges. I've seen several on ebay for $200-$400. I really feel like I've reach a point where this would be a very helpful tool. Just curious if anyones had experience with these. Here's a couple of links.

    Re: Paint Thickness Gauge

I have never used one but this is the next big purchase after I have properly setup by Cybersolve tank... So I'm curious to hear from others using these. I'm considering something in the 500-600 range.

Either one they are both available most anytime, each has been relisted. Have you used one of these or something similar?

Specifically, which one? The bidding has ended for both of those items.

Wonder if PBTP will match prices or a group buy maybe??

A group package would be a great idea...just remember these gauges are sensitive and should be kept in a secure location once you have them. In a manufacturing plant it takes an act of congress to get access to one.

I'm very interested in a group buy for one of these!

                  Re: Paint Thickness Gauge

Well, I broke down and bought a mil gauge. Just like the one in the first post but a different seller. Got the $300 dollar gauge and a digital dual thermocouple thermometer for $260 free shipping. It's all tiawanese but seems to function very well. May have gotten it cheaper waiting on bidding but I was impatient. Also rec'd it in 2 days.
