  • Why do powder spray so vastly different?

This is probably a newbie question but I'm expiereincing more and more problems with it.

I can spray a wet black, the cloud is nice and what I beleive to be correct. Then dump in some ultimate chrome, and it empties the hopper in half the time spraying out a HUGE cloud that is uncontrollable. Then switch to ultra yellow and it hardly sprays at all.

I shake up my container for about 10-15 seconds before I dump it into the gun.

Is it the powder, gun controlls or me because Im an FNG?

I'm using the JP80T gun, and pbtp products.

I found that out while shooting Sun Gold Its very, very fine and light I had to adjust my whole shooting style... But Im good now... Most powders I shoot are heavy and seem to be thick making them easier to shoot. (for me anyhow)

        But I dont know why...

What I have found in shooting the Ultimate chrome set your diution air to 1. or twice what you have the wet Black. On my gun (KC) there is a hair more fluidizing air and twice the setting of dilution air, so for me Wet Black is .5 and Ultimate Chrome is 1. I hope this helps. What HD said about powder consistencies is why they spray different. As HD can tell ya I have suffered and learned this the hard way on this subject.
