Well, I ordered several powders from them yesterday. (if your with PBTP my order number is #3680) By my calculations, I ordered 21 lbs; the 11 lb candy sampler, 2 lb glass clear, 1 lb matte tuscan black, 2 lb textured midnight black. This (I think) comes with 2lbs semi-gloss black , 1 lb mirror white,(website special $100-$200 order), 1 lb white silver vein, & 1 lb viking ss (forum special over $100 order). But the shipment notification I got from UPS says 12 lbs from PSS. I wonder if this is a partial shipment from PBTP.
Have you given anyone at the PBTP office a call? (615) 776-7600. Renee, Matthew, Shelly or James should be able to answer your questions. Has this shipment actually been picked up or is it still pending? Give 'em a call!
thought id relay a ups experience i just had (yesterday) so its fresh on my mind.
i thought my recent order was taking a while so i went back to the quantum view email, (which is from pss btw) and it said "exception - address incorrect - new address found - out for delivery" BUT it listed the town north of us as the correct address. so im thinking great someone will be getting a free order of supplies on me. so i called the minute i saw this, talked to renee - few hours later . . . problem solved. they were able to get through to ups and had one driver pass it off to another, by the time i got off the phone with other stuff, it was sitting outside my door.
now for the weird part.
i peeled off the label with the wrong address they (ups) had put on and underneath was . . . . . the correct address.
so, ups's goof - not theirs, yet pss/pbtp followed up and made it right.
sorry for thread jacking but i thought it was worth mentioning - service like that is hard to find these days.

Welcome to the forum, metalarts. I've had exactly the same thing happen before using my day job work address that UPS delivers to all the time! They said they couldn't find it. Peeled off that second label and the correct one was underneath too! Oh well. I've started requesting the Postal Service Flat-Rate shipping box from PBTP. It gets here about 2 days quicker, and more important, it GETS here!

Hey wiseguyz, how much does the Postal Service Flat-Rate shipping box cost and do you know the weight limit? I'm sick of ups it takes them a full week to get my orders to me and I know it has nothing to do with PBTP because they send it out fast as lighting.
I think they can ship up to 10 lbs in the flat-rate box, and I think it costs under $10. UPS would have been about $12.95 to ship the same 9 lbs of powder I ordered. I forgot to change it from UPS when I ordered online. A quick phone call to Matt and he fixed it right away.

im out of my element here in powder land. i do R&D, protoyping, and one off metal work. ive come into pc by way of matching production finishes and subsquently tinkering with it in my personal projects.
on the flat rate box its more defined by the volume it can hold than the weight since none of them are very big. there are a few different sizes with different pricing, the ten dollar one is the most common, they make a "large size" it isnt that much bigger though, the weight limit on it is 70lbs. if its small and heavy - you cant beat that deal.
i sent out two rotors and two calipers that just fit into one large flat rate box. 68 lbs. and it was about 12 bucks.
it almost pulled the guy over when it came off the counter - he said i got the deal of the year (i think they might have a nickname for me when im not around)
As far as your package not being the correct weight, I recieved two shipments, one monday and the other yesterday for the same order. So most likely they did the same for you

Domestically it is 15lbs for $9.80 and internationally it is 20lbs. and can be just about anywhere in the lower 48 in 2 days , a pretty good deal.
Yeah, I called Renee and she checked then called me back and said that they had to split the shipment. I got the first box yesterday and I should get the rest in a little while.
