  • Powder Coat wood

I was playing around with my King Gun today and I remember the video on the CC web site where the guy says with hte multi coat nossle you can coat wood cold. So I thought why not give it a try, I grab this 1x4 that was sitting there and just shot it with powder. I guess you don't need a multi coat nossle to do wood.

Good job Jason.............however. Coating wood is accomplished with most electrostatic guns. First by applying a liquid coating that contains a metal ground for the charged powder to collect to. The second is of course preheating and post cure the wood with an Infrared oven. You can use a gas-fired oven at a low temperature but it lengthens the time for cure. The third is to place the wood in a humidity chamber and than spray the part. The damp wood will attract the electrostatic charge. I hope this helps…..

What is the cure schedule you use for skin? I had a problem with pealing and blistering when I tried.

It helps if you marinade the skin a head of time.

A little bird told me that there is a cream you can buy from another company that you put on the skin before putting in the oven... solves all the problems..... it is only $200! It's PATENTED so no one else can sell it!
